Athletics Events – Term 4 – A message from Mr Batt

Posted onCategoriesFrom the Office

Hi parents, well and truly welcome to term 4. We’re already well into our preparations for the Interschool Athletics Carnival, to be held on 24 and 26 October at Santich Park.
Our team game specialists have been training tirelessly and will continue to throughout the rest of this week and next, during recess and lunch.
After our Interschool Athletics Carnival, there will be two other events.
One is the Lakeland Touch Rugby Cup. This event is held at Lakeland SHS and will involve 40 of our year 5 and 6 students, participating in a round robin competition playing the game of touch rugby. This will be on Friday 10 November 2017.
The other event is a new initiative which has been put in place through the support of Netball WA, the West Australian Cricket Association (WACA) and the West Australian Football Commission (WAFC).
This competition is an all girls Multi Sport Carnival. It will be hosted at the Success Sporting Facility on Friday 17 November 2017.
Girls who nominate themselves, Year 5 and 6’s, will have the opportunity to participate against other schools in games of netball, football and cricket. It’s an amazing opportunity and I’m really looking forward to seeing how they go.
They are a couple of events happening within the term.
