Event Details

NAPLAN testing commences today for our Year 3 and 5 students. Testing will be conducted over the next 2 weeks concluding on Thursday 23 May.
The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual national assessment for all students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9. All students in these year levels are expected to participate in tests in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and Numeracy.
This year NAPLAN is going to be conducted online through using iPads and Laptops (Yr. 3 writing will use the traditional paper and pen format). We have prepared our children with practice tests and have found the new platform to be very user friendly and engaging for the children.
There will be at least one days break between the tests for each class to allow for catch-up testing. To help the students achieve their best, it is important to remind them to relax, and to emphasise that their best is good enough!  It is also helpful to have a good nights’ sleep and a healthy breakfast to get the brain into gear.
