Voluntary Contributions
In accordance with the School Education Act 1999, schools are required to determine and outline the anticipated financial costs of the educational programs at the school.
These include:
- Voluntary Contributions
- Additional approved voluntary request
- Mandatory Charges for extra cost options
- Charges for optional activities – selected students
- Items for personal use in the educational program
Parents are asked to pay an annual voluntary contribution for each child at the school. These funds help us add value to our learning programs at Beeliar by supplementing resources across the eight curriculum learning areas as per our Business Plan.
The Beeliar Primary School Board has endorsed a voluntary contribution for 2025 of $60 per child, which equates to $1.50 per school week for the year.
We appreciate full or partial payment, and encourage periodical payments if you prefer:
- $30.00 per semester
- $15.00 per term
- $ 5.00 per month
Additional Approved Voluntary Request
In addition to the School Voluntary Contribution (above), the School Board has endorsed the following additional voluntary requests to provide additional financial support to the school to resource the school priority programs as identified in the Beeliar Primary School Business Plan.
The additional requests provide funding for targeted areas of the school environment that need upgrading and enhancing. In 2025, the school will be looking to raise funds to improve the grounds and playgrounds. Families are invited to contribute to this priority area through a family payment of $25. This payment is voluntary and will be spent in 2025 against these target areas.
Parents and Citizens’ Associations ($10 per child)
This will supplement the P&C fundraising efforts and enable it to support school initiatives and focus areas to meet the needs of our children. In 2025 the P&C and school will negotiate the priority area for these funds. The payment is voluntary and will be spent in 2025 against agreed targeted areas.
Mandatory Charges For Extra Cost Options
A breakdown of estimated charges for students participation in incursions, excursions, swimming, and other activities is tabled below. These amounts are indicative only and are the maximum that families can be requested to pay in a school year if a student is participating in each activity. Students can only participate if they have parent permission and have paid the charge.
Please note: The transport component of all charges is non-refundable. This is due to the commitment of student numbers during the planning process. This includes in-term swimming, excursions, swimming carnival, sporting events, and camp. Admissions costs will be refunded were applicable with a medical certificate.
Payment Options
A range of payment options is available and may be negotiated with the school. Voluntary Contributions and Additional Voluntary Requests may be paid with the student requirement list, or at any time throughout the year. Contributions can be paid as a single contribution, or payment plan. Arrangements can be made with the school to spread payments through the year.
Payments can be made by EFTPOS or cash but preferably to the school bank account. The account details are as follows:
