All students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 participate in weekly Physical Education lessons provided by our specialist teacher Miss Nadia Dry. The emphasis of the program is the development of fundamental movement and game skills. Students have opportunities to display their skills and talents through carnivals and interschool competitions.
The school hosts a range of carnivals during the year which promote participation by all students and an opportunity for students to showcase their physical and sporting skills, as well as develop the values of sportsmanship and team work.
Our Faction Captains play an integral role in our carnivals by providing leadership to their factions and mentoring of our younger students.
Beeliar PS participates in inter-school carnivals within the CCEN network. Students from Years 3-6 are selected based on their performance at carnivals, PE lessons and training.
All senior school students participate in senior sport once per week with a focus on selected sports and games. This is run by the PE teacher and senior teachers. Students are selected to complete in CCEN sport based events, such as the Bunuru carnival held at Beeliar PS in Term 1.
Parents can assist greatly by ensuring their children are dressed appropriately for physical activities with appropriate footwear, ensuring your child has their school hat and suncream during the warmer terms.
