The objectives of the Beeliar Primary School P & C are:
- Foster community interest in education;
- Promote closer liaison between school and the community; and
- Assist in the provision of school amenities.
Beeliar Primary School enjoys a strong parent and community involvement, which is facilitated through the active group of parents and carers representing Beeliar Primary P&C Association.
The P&C Association is a vital group of dedicated parents who achieve much throughout the course of the year. The satisfaction to be gained in supporting the school repays many times over the costs of time and effort.
Beeliar Primary P&C organise fundraising events such as Disco’s, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Stalls, Outdoor Movie Nights, Colour Runs as well as operation and management of the Uniform Shop.
All funds raised by the P&C go directly into approved school projects. Some of the previously P&C funded projects are as follows:
- Purchasing of Reading Angels Books
- Funky Monkey Play Equipment
- Replacement of the Basketball Hoop Boards
- Bag hooks and Bag racks for ECE and Block 2
- Air conditioning in school undercover area
- Sensory items for classrooms
- Inter-school and choir school representation shirts
- Choir microphones
- Signage for the school
- Beeliar PS lectern for assemblies and special events
Meetings are held 1-2 times per term. Meeting dates are advertised on the Beeliar P&C Facebook page and via Compass.
New parents are always welcome to establish new friendships and share experiences or new ideas. The P & C membership levy is $1.00 per member per year.
How to get involved:
- Attend a P&C meeting
- Support our fundraising activities – gathering supplies and donations, preparing, manning stalls, throw colour at colour run events, clean up/pack away etc.
- Volunteer at the uniform shop.
- Make suggestions and share your ideas at a meeting or by reaching out via our Facebook page or via email.
- Join the P&C in an official role at the next AGM (Held at the beginning of each year)
