Chaplain
Our Chaplain, Jon Ryder is currently on-site Tuesday and Friday during the even weeks of Term.
The Chaplain program provides wellbeing and social-emotional support to students, parents and staff as required.
Formal support from the chaplain for students is through a referral process, and your child’s classroom teacher will help you with this process.
Students at Educational Risk (SAER)
The school has a comprehensive approach for students who may require additional support in developing the academic, social or emotional skills required to be an active and effective member of the community.
A focus on early identification for students who need individualised support in one or more areas of development is part of the school’s policy for students at educational risk (SAER). Strategies to support identified students include individualised education plans, the implementation of relevant teaching and learning strategies and ongoing monitoring of student progress.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of their child’s development and are an essential part of supporting students to achieve their full potential. If you are concerned about your child’s progress at school, please contact the class teacher and/or the school’s student services team.
Beeliar Primary has an extensive student services team and includes the following staff members:
Student Services Manager – Gemma Cronan (Deputy Principal K-2)
- Student Services Manager – Nicole Hughes (Deputy Principal Years 3-6)
- School Psychologist – Natasha Rodgers
- Aboriginal Education Officer – Marie Lynden and Shameka Pickett
- Chaplain – Jon Ryder
Therapy requests and External providers
At Beeliar we aim to work alongside parents and external therapist services to provide comprehensive support for our students wherever possible.
Parents whose children access external therapists can apply for this service to be completed at school.
To do so, parents are required to complete the ‘Therapy request from parents in school’ document for therapist requests to be considered.
Along with the parent request form there is also an ‘External Service Providers Service Schedule’ form, which needs completing by both parents and therapists.
Alongside the two forms all therapists need to provide the following documentation:
- Working With Children’s Check or National Criminal Clearance
- NDIS Worker Screener
- Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance (not less than $20,000,000 for any one occurrence; and unlimited for the aggregate).
All students who accessed therapy at school in 2025 will need to resubmit this paperwork for 2026 before therapists can commence.
Paperwork can be sent in tobeeliar.ps.admin@education.wa.edu.au and cc in Gemma Cronan (K-2 students) or Nicole Hughes (3-6 students).
